Gruppo Cordenon's Environmental Initiatives

Cordenons is FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) by the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems both as a manufacturer, and through certified chain of custody.

Our North American division is FSC Certified through chain of custody.

Cordenons is a charter member of UNESCO’s “Trust the Forest” program. More than 4,000 hectares (about 10,000 acres) of virgin African forest has been permanently protected under a United Nations-sponsored project to safeguard the Ipassa-Mingouli forest from deforestation and illegal timbering.

Cordenons has partnered with Turin University, Italy to operate the Saussurea Alpine Garden Foundation as a research and teaching center. The park is located 7,200 feet (2200 meters) above sea level in the Valle D’Aosta region of Northwestern Italy. The foundation combines scientific research with a strong public awareness program to manage this unique area of the Italian Alps.
